In alignment with the Girl Up Foundation’s mission statement*, the Girl Up NIST club aims to empower girls to use their voices, to stand up for themselves and girls around the world, to raise awareness of physical violence and sexual harassment of girls and women, and to teach our community that girls matter.
Regardless of one’s race, background, or gender, everyone has a right to be healthy, educated and safe. The Girl Up NIST club aims to connect the local Thai community with the global community in order to ensure that girls around the world are given the opportunities, and the rights that they deserve.
*Girl Up ignites the empowerment of girls, by girls around the world. In partnership with the United Nations, we stand up for girls, speak up for programs that help them thrive, and rise up as a community of advocates out to change the world, for good.
